How to get listed on Scotlinks
To get listed on scotlinks.com there is only one option and that is to use the
    Link Submit Form
Scotlinks will list every Scottish website for free and will do so within 48 hours to one week of submission. Within this timeperiod URLs can expect to be evaluated by our editorial team and checked for the presence of a reciprocal link if required depending on the category.

Important: Make sure that the website you are adding to Scotlinks has either Scottish content, is Scottish related, has a Scottish owner or is a Scottish Business. Sites that don't match the above will be rejected

Please visit our Link Submit Form page to input your website. Upon completion of the form the username and password are stored in the system and can be used for future link or description changes, or for additions of a picture to the link submitted.

    Is submission free of charge?
Link submission is free of charge. The only thing I require is a reciprocal link on the website which is added to this directory and only in certain categories. There is no point in submitting a website to a category that doesnt need a reciprocal link when the chosen category is invalid. Just choose the appropriate category and the system will point out wether a reciprocal link is required or not.

    What do I get
Your site will be placed in the requisite directory category of your choice. Your site address is also entered into the search database records for retrieval within search results, for users search queries. The description that you provide will be displayed in the directory pages. Most directories will use their own description for your site. We allow you to create your own site description (and modify the description - see below) , although we reserve the right to alter the description, if deemed necessary. Please do not include a list of keywords in your entry. Make your site title and description as descriptive as possible for your site content.

    Top

    No annual renewal
Your listing within the directory and information held within the search engine database is stored permanently. No further action is required to annualy update your link.

    Top

    Change link and description
You may change your site's description and, or address (should your site address change) at any time using your login account and password created at the time of first submission.

    Top

    Which page/url to submit
Only the main page of your site is required to be entered e.g. http://www.yoursite.co.uk/

    Top

    Duration of Site appearance
Your site will be listed within 7 days maximum, it is however usual that new sites appear within 48 hours of submission - much faster than most search engine submission schedules.

    Top

    Site validation
An editor will review your site - this is carried out to verify that the site that is submitted matches the description provided, and also to verify the URL (site address) and reciprocal URL are correct. The information is then added to the search database and placed within the directory.

    Top

    Notification
An email confirmation will be sent to your email address on acceptance or disapproval.

    Top

OK, I wish to submit my site - What Next?
You will need to complete the
Link Submit Form. Upon request and depending on the category a reciprocal link is asked and checked for. To Login please use the Home Page.. Remember: Save your username and password details! You will require these details to login to your account, should you wish to modify your site details in the future.
